Walmart Announces $1.2 Billion Distribution Center Coming to Belvidere

Walmart announced this week their plan to build a $1.2 billion distribution hub in Belvidere. The announcement is welcome news following the recent closure of the idled Belvidere Assembly plan that ended operations in February. The distribution center will eventually support up to 700 full and part-time jobs.
