Ethics Reform Needs to Happen Now

Democrats passed dozens of their priorities through the House on what was supposed to be the final week of session. Noticeably absent from those bills were the comprehensive ethics reform measures needed to end corruption in Illinois. Numerous ethics reform bills were filed, including a bill I introduced, HB 3756. This bill would have implemented various ethics reform measures, such as releasing all reports made by the Legislator Inspector General.

There is nothing stopping us from passing strong anti-corruption measures. While we wait for a budget, we have plenty of time to get some meaningful legislation passed to prevent the horrible mistakes of the past from continuing into our future.
