One Session Day Remains, No Budget To Be Seen

With only one scheduled day of session remaining in the 2023 Spring Legislative Session, the House and Senate Democrats have yet to release their proposed budget. Governor Pritzker’s recommended budget proposed $49.6 million dollars of state spending.

In a state as anti-business as Illinois, having a sound budget is incredibly important to ensuring our state’s economic viability. However, the chances of seeing a balanced budget that accounts for things like inflation or the end of federal COVID-19 relief money is unlikely.
